The Directorate held two youth exchange programmes in Nandi and Trans-nzoia Counties in April 2017. A total of 25 youth leaders from Machakos County were hosted by 25 youth leaders in Nandi County while 25 youth leaders from Bomet County were hosted by 25 youth leaders in Trans Nzoia County. The programme enabled the youth leaders to share experiences from their counties on the role of the youth in the promotion of peaceful co-existence and societal transformation and further promoted appreciation of kenya’s cultural diversity.
